Helpful Hints from: FCVRRHS: XTrkCad

XTrkCad is a model railroad layout & track planning software. It is currently
free to use.
Other Features included: A complete library of symbols from turnouts, buildings
and trees.
Important notes that will help:
You must register XTrkCad to design a layout larger than 4'x8'
Registration is simple and you need not provide any personal information to the
vendor.
You must enter the following registration codes to use the full version. This
example is also provide at the XTrkCad site. It has been found registration is
not easy to understand. Here is some help.Click this link to open a document
that will help guide you in registering XTrkCad. Close the window when you are
thru.
We do not think or have not found yet that the program has a usage time limit.
Now that you have registered your new XTrkCad your ready to design your layout.
We have found it took a week for a couple of us to start figuring out how to
design with this Cad program. One command in particular that was a little
difficult to understand the exact order of how to apply the command to the
layout was the Join command. To join the tracks once you had then in place. We
will try in the future to post clear information of just how this command works
and maybe many others soon.
